Murky pond incident casts doubts on KU | Bangkok Post: opinion

To order a student to swim in a wastewater pond would be a crime. Acting deputy rector Korchoke Chantawarangkul denied the 20-by-40 metre pond in which the student swam was filled with wastewater. Apparently, no safety protocols or lifeguards were in place for the "training", otherwise Mr Chokchai would not have ended up in the intensive care unit. The rector only said Mr Chokchai went to clean himself in the pond and then tried to swim towards other students but started to sink. If the pond is a venue for the college's training course, it has to change.
